IQRA- A Place to learn for the whole community

Welcome to the Iqra Learning Centre website. The website is intended to broaden the reach of the The Iqra Learning Centre(Registered Charity No 1093756) for learning and acting as a point of interaction between people of all faiths whether living local to The Iqra Learning Centre in Coventry, United Kingdom or perhaps thousands of miles away in an another part of the the world.

The word Iqra has very special significance for muslims as it is the first word of the first Revelation from Allah sent to the Prophet Mohammad via angel Gabriel. The word simply means Read and is also an invitation to learn and seek guidance from Allah as given in the Quran. Iqra Learning Centre provides an opportunity to learn and be guided by the holy Revelations of the Quran to members of the local community by holding tuition classes in the study of Islam.

Changes in Madrassah class Structure

The madrassah class structure has be en changed to create separate groups for Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced students. This will allow the children to have more specific teaching catered to their needs and will mean that group sizes are smaller, thus allowing students to have more one-on-one time with teachers (see Current Activities for details). We would like all parents to setup a standing order for the payment of fees, this will save time and disruption to the teaching time available.
